OpenSpending is not just a set of technologies. The core of our project is a community of transparency enthusiasts, public finance experts, and data wranglers. We’re developing new ways to monitor and explain budgets and government spending through the use of technology.

OpenSpending community members are actively producing research on the basis of OpenSpending’s data, technology, and ideas.

We want to share our experience working with financial data with journalists, academics, and anyone else who wants to understand spending. These resources compile some of the community’s collective expertise.
